Yard Sale 2014

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Yard Sale 2014 – Sunday, 18th May, 2-5pm

Sunday morning, 18th May! With the sun shining, things are looking good for this year’s yard sale.  We have a fantastic record-breaking total of 31 households registered to take part and set up shop in their gardens on Sunday, 18th May.

As Monday, 19th May is Victoria Day, we expect the yard sale will have a relaxed holiday atmosphere and hope that resident families will make the most of the day by inviting their non-Colonies friends to browse, buy and enjoy the Colonies at this popular annual community event.

Instead of our Colonies cake stall, several residents will be offering their own home baking this year alongside all manner of merchandise… clothes, vintage wares, bikes, books, furniture, plants, arts and crafts, wooden wine crates, toys, books – you’ll be amazed at what you’ll find in the gardens marked with balloons on Sunday, 18th May!  There’ll also be a great opportunity to make your very own badge at 28 Dunrobin Place – a great activity for children and adults!

15th May – The Caleerie Buskers have accepted our last-minute invitation to entertain browsers and customers in Avondale/Teviotdale with their traditional Scottish music, thereby filling the slot just vacated by the junior pipe band.  We hope you all enjoy the music – and reward the buskers!
