The Stockbridge Colonies set up a small choir, comprising residents, friends and family members in October 2012 and from that very first evening, we’ve grown to about 30 singers and had lots of fun as we practise and build our very varied repertoire. We aim to have a performance at the end of most terms with the 2019 summer finale having been at the Stockbridge Solstice event (see photo) under the leadership of Stuart Mitchell.
Prior to the Covid era, we met for 2 hours every Wednesday at 7.30pm in the LifeCare Centre, Cheyne Street, Stockbridge and, after a year on Zoom and a period rehearsing in Stockbridge Church, we plan to return to the LifeCare Centre in January 2022.
If you’d like to come along when we reconvene or just find out more, please contact Ian McLean on colonieschoir@gmail.com.
