Take care on Gabriel’s Road

With autumn leaves all around us and wet surfaces, the steps linking Saxe Coburg with the Colonies have become extremely slippery. Unfortunately, several Colonies residents have fallen and injured themselves so we are all reminded to take extra care when using the steps, especially when they’re wet but even when the stonework is dry, the leaves can still present a hazard. If in doubt, walk via the snakey or the long way round via St Bernard’s Row. The council has been requested to clear the leaves and power-wash the steps more frequently this autumn.
