Its time to start the Stockbridge Colonies Association Spud in a bucket competition. The competition runs from April-July 2010.
Following the fun and success of this event the last 2 years, you have the opportunity to prove you can grow the biggest and most spuds in the Colonies! There are no rules – the spud you get has to be grown in the bucket you’re given. You can do anything you like from there on – soil, sun and water highly recommended!
Delivery is expected to be mid April with the judging date to be set for July – maturing time for these spuds is approximately 8-10 weeks. Prizes given for biggest spud & best crop – adults and children’s prizes. Entries £5 (on delivery/collection) – no limit per family but spuds are limited so hurry!
