Carol-singing result from Sunday, 20th December, 2015

The weather couldn’t have been kinder to us than on the Sunday afternoon prior to Christmas – no wind, no rain and not even very cold. A few of us met at 4pm at Bridge Place and our number swelled as we sang our way along the Colonies streets, finishing at ‘The Glenogles’ at 6.30pm.  We were delighted that so many residents brought family members and friends this year and some of the Colonies Choir joined us too including Eoin who kindly accompanied us on his guitar. In total, probably about 50 singers joined the happy band throughout the 2 1/2 hours.  Several of us took turns in collecting donations from residents who were at home that evening and the charity nominated and selected via our poll is delighted with the resulting total of £515.52.  www.rst.org.uk

Thank you to everyone who sang, accompanied, collected and donated! Refugee Survival Trust
