After a break of 3 years, the Stockbridge Colonies Ceilidh returned to The Grange Club on the 30th December 2022. The band was, as before, the excellent Occasionals which, this year, consisted of Freeland Barbour (accordion), Kevin Macleod (banjo) and Mairi Campbell (fiddle). Just fewer than 80 residents and friends attended with a wide range of ages. The dances were called by the wonderful Sheila McCutcheon, their secret weapon. The hall was busy from the start but still offered plenty of space for dancing. After the break the more dedicated dancers remained and everyone danced. It was a really enjoyable evening after such a long break and, to cap it all, we didn’t lose money!
