Carol-singing on Sunday, 19th December, 2021

The charity awarded the most votes by Colonies residents in our poll this year is Unicef’s appeal for children in Afghanistan. This means that, while carols are sung in each street on Sunday, 19th December, we’ll be calling at each home in the Colonies to give everyone the opportunity to donate to this very worthwhile cause. Ideally, we’d like cash for the donation cans or cheques made out to Unicef UK which can then be submitted to Unicef by the SCRA but if you’d like to donate online instead, please do so via

All residents, friends and family members are cordially invited to dress up warmly and bring voices and portable musical instruments to the carol-singing event which was sorely missed in 2020. Carol sheets will be provided. We’ll most probably meet at 4pm next to the footbridge on Bell Place/Glenogles and finish at about 6pm on Bridge Place so please join us for all or part of the festive session! And if you do join the carol-singers, please bring a donation for Unicef too! Every penny will be much appreciated!
