Our poll has now closed for votes to one of the 2 charities nominated by Colonies residents. Gorgie Farm is the winner with 72 votes whereas Kindred (https://www.kindred-scotland.org) received 53. Thank you to everyone who took the time both to look at the worthwhile work done by these local charities and to vote.
This means that the door-to-door collection accompanied by carol-singing along our Colonies streets on Sunday, 18th December (from 4pm) will be in aid of Gorgie Farm. See https://www.lovegorgiefarm.org.uk for further information on its work.
Please have some cash ready for when the singers arrive in your street!
Everyone is invited to join the festive singing, be it just for a short while or for the whole time which is usually from 4pm, starting on Bell Place, until about 6pm on Bridge Place. Carol sheets will be provided but please bring a torch – and dress up warmly!
